WARRIOR SPIRIT
Warrior Spirit waits on the threshold veil of spiritual and physical boundaries. He waits to be evoked, by the scent of sorghum beer, tobacco and smothering sage. A warrior will never fall, when this spirit is called up.
MUSIC AFTA 1
Inspired by the music of American producer, Afta-1, is a depiction of a musical note titled Honey-Dip, from the album Afterthoughts. The Illustration was created by blending images that symbolized the sound and taste of Honey Dip. To a certain extent one could consider this piece as an emotional visual out pour of the artist after constant listening sessions to the sound of Afta-1
HOME IS WHERE THE LIGHT
Everybody has an origin, a home, where they come from. And some, come from nothing. places which only exists in their dreams. Being homeless is not even a real term to them. Their homes are in their minds, where they lay their heads, where they find peace. Home is where the light is, touches on home as a state of mind and not necessarily a wall of bricks and sand.
GUIDE THE NIGHT
Guide the night is a piece that is riddled with confusion, questions and heartbreak. It is based on the upbringing of the artist and his hope to one day experience the true definition of a father's love and supportive family setup. The portrayal of betrayal, neglect, vengeance, expression and heartbreak are some of the key elements that built up this piece.
GET THE MOON
Get the moon, takes a look at a highly motivated man, who pursues self and inner greatness by exploring his ambitions and dreams. From positive affirmations and dreaming big, the man has set his sight for even greater heights, getting the moon as an ultimate effort to reaching his potential greatness. May we dream and never be deterred.
EXALTATION
In a secluded village on the outskirts of Moletjie, resided a wicked priestess who stole souls of the damned and turned them into her followers, who would a every full moon at sunset worship and exalt her.
CLEOPATRA
Cleopatra is a portrait of a beautiful mysterious creative who captured the heart of the artist as well as his mind. A forbidden longing to belong in the arms of a stranger who was brought by chance. The eerie silence in the image and the distant blank gaze at wilting flowers give into the idea of a failed proposal that was never requested.
CARRY YOURSELF
In times of distress and falling short. Carry yourself. No one can carry you to your destiny. Carry yourself, a piece that is self motivated; appealing to the viewer to view selfishness through a different eye. Being self sufficient, self reliant & self motivated.
BOUND IN TRANSGRESSION
When one fails to lead an honest and just life, they tend to fall into a state of disarray which leads to a deteriorating mental health and moral decay. This piece focuses on the outcomes of bondage of sin, thus resulting in issues of mental health, moral decay & depression.
